The fort was built between 1551-1554 by Portuguese Viceroy Afonso De Noronha. It is the oldest fort in Goa, situated in the village of Reis Magos near Panjim. The restoration was done in 2012 . People are now allowed to hire the complex for private events.

This fort was built by Raje Chandraraoji More of Jawli in the early 1030 and eventually seized by Chatrapati Shivaji in 1674. It is located in the Sahyadri mountain range. Only accessible by one side pathway, the other three sides are surrounded by valleys. Make sure you do give this one a visit - plan a weekend getaway from Maharashtra for a sorted scene.

The fort is spread over 40 acres, making it the largest fort in Kerala. It was built by Shivappa Nayaka of Keladi in 1650. Bekal fort is situated in the Bekal Village of Kasaragod District, surrounded by a beautiful beach which provides a view of Arabian Sea. It is considered as one of the best sea forts in India.
