Compiled below is a list of the top 10 salons in Pune for all your grooming needs. And we’re sure you’ll find your perfect fit here.
There's a commonality I made note of while discussing the subject of skincare with my friends, and I personally refer to it as the face serum dichotomy. The jargon aside, it boils down to a simplistic observation. A face serum is something we don't typically consider ourselves to be in dire need of. Until, of course, we find one that works brilliantly and our skincare regime suddenly gets a new lease of life.
But to go from Point A of not considering a serum to be critical, to point B of not being able to live without the one that suits you, you have to jump through a lot of hoops. And by that I mean, do some intense browsing on the Internet, to discover a product that's a perfect match for you and your unique skin concerns. You'd be surprised at how long this process can take. Especially considering the assortment of face serums available at the click of a button online, each with their own set of promises, pledges and USPs. And trust me when I say this, if you somehow end up finding the wrong one, it can also rob you of a lot of precious money. Along with your sanity!
So, let me state outright that I'm not going to make any unfounded claims that the products we're about to review, are just perfect for you. But I can tell you what they felt like on my skin, and the results I got. I know, I know, that's what you're here for anyway. So, without any delay, let's dive in?
But first, intro. About a fortnight back, I got a ping from a very familiar sounding skincare brand, called e'clat Superior. After wracking my brains about where this familiarity came from, I realised that I'd come across some glorious reviews on social media endorsing their supposedly magical face serums. In all frankness, I tend to be a bit wary about applying a new product on my skin, just on the basis of word-of-mouth, but here the reviews were too impressive to ignore. Some back and forth communication, and as it turns out, they wanted me to try out their serums, and make a judgement for myself. I mean, that sounds fair enough, right? So, green signals everywhere, and within 3 days my package arrives.
Inside the box, I find 2 serum pump bottles, namely, the e’clat Fadeout – Pigment Correcting Serum, and e’clat Regenta. I used both the products for about 10 days, and here's me summing up what I thought.
Before this pandemic, I never really dealt with a lot of pimple issues, save the few that cropped up right before my periods. But after wearing regular masks, I was introduced to a new skincare concern to cry about. Maskne. It's acne caused by the humidity, dirt or other irritants on the surface of your mask, that you obviously, cover your face with. Well, diligent washing and no makeup helped me reduce the occurrence of these breakouts, but the leftover scars and marks were an entirely different story. Have you ever been frustrated to the point of tears by pimple marks that refuse to fade? Then you know what I'm talking about.
When I started using e'clat Fadeout, that was the first issue I hoped it would take care of. Along with some other dark spots, and off-colour pigmentation around certain areas, like the bridge of my nose, my chin and the skin surrounding my lips. Day 1, I washed my face and applied a dollop of the product evenly on my skin. While there weren't magical results in just one application, I noticed the next day that my skin tone felt ever so slightly more even. Okay, that could be psychological considering that's what I was expecting the product to do. I decided to continue applying it in the morning for the next 10 days. By day 10, the acne marks I'd been relentlessly fussing over, seemed a lot lighter than when I first received the package. My complexion also felt more smooth and uniform, and with delight I noted, that my chin wasn't as unnaturally dark compared to the rest of my face as it once used to be.
With complete objectivity and honesty, I'd score this product a 4.5 out of 5. Perhaps, that's partly because it was exactly what I needed to cater to my skin issues, but for me, this one turned out to be a godsend. Especially after trying all the gharelu nuske my mom recommended with no avail.
This one is supposed to take care of your complexion, skin dullness and signs of ageing like fine lines around the eyes and mouth. Okay, I'm in my mid-twenties, I don't exactly need to worry about my skin not being youthful just yet, right? Haha, the joke's on me!
So, day 1. Again, I cleanse my face thoroughly at night, and apply the product evenly. Go to sleep with sweet dreams, and little expectations. Next morning, I rush to inspect my face and see if there's a difference. I notice a hint of a glow on my face, that I hadn't in a while. Well, maybe I just slept really well! So, like the other product, I decided to wait till the final day before reaching any conclusions.
On day 10, some close scrutiny of my face on the bathroom mirror reveals that the product defied my expectations. I couldn't deny that there was a kind of lustre and radiance to my face, that I previously could only achieve with copious amounts of makeup. While I didn't exactly have heavy wrinkles on my face, there were faint but noticeable smile lines around my mouth. Which by day 10, had lightened considerably. I didn't even realise they were a problem, till they weren't that prominent any more and suddenly a couple of years got deducted from my age.
I'd give this product a 4 on 5. As I mentioned earlier, the results were undeniable. However, I still don't consider myself to be in critical need of this serum, which coupled with the slightly steep price put me on the side of err-ing. But if these issues sound like what you're looking to solve, I'd certainly say give this one a shot!
Well, I rule in favour of both the serums! If you're feeling bogged down by either spots and pimple marks on your face, or about evident signs of ageing, AND you're willing to invest in a bottle that'll ease your worries, I'd definitely recommend you to try these products and see if they work for you as well as they did for me.
