One of the BEST shows on Netflix India right now. It keeps you hooked for such weird and creepy reasons. It has been the talk of the internet as much as 13 Reasons why was. It is an off-beat teen drama with 2 main leads, both of them are screwed up and damaged teenagers, damaged to the extent that one of them thinks he might be a self-diagnosed serial killer. The end of the fucking world is an 8 part series with an abrupt ending that leads you wanting for more but also, keeps you shocked about what happened - which is the perfect blend of a perfect series.

Stranger Things is set in a strange fictional town Hawkins, Indiana in 1983. This sci-fi-drama supernatural thriller kicks off when a young boy vanishes somewhere in thin air and his mother, friends and the police forces encounter a series of creepy elements in the small town while on his lookout. Secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one strange little girl come to the surface while everybody is set out on the search for the little boy. With a 9.5 rating on IMDB and a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, this show was all the rage when it first aired in 2008, and it still is a rage even though it ended in 2013. Breaking Bad references never get too old. Walter White, a decent family man, and a chemistry teacher, when diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer, is lured into the money-making business of methamphetamine manufacturing and selling to pay his medical debts and secure a future for his family. When White and Jesse Pinkman first appeared in 2008, the Sopranos had just ended, Mad Men had just begun and we were in the throes of what soon became known as the ‘golden age of TV’. Breaking Bad is now rightfully placed at the top of this category. Walter White and Jesse Pinkman have such a strong screen presence, that every other show would feel a little off after you watch Breaking Bad. This one is a must-watch everyone.

An instant classic, laugh-out-loud funny, irreverent are the words largely used for most of the comic shows, however, Arrested Development is the one show that actually deserves this praise. An adult animated black comedy-drama series. This dark comedy has a Humanoid Horse as the main protagonist. Set in the Los Angeles area, this is an alternate Universe where humans live side by side with anthropomorphic animals ( where people attribute real human behavior and experiences to wild and domestic animals ). If murder mysteries and investigations are your cups of tea, this cup of tea will be majorly satisfying and caffeine-inducing. A 4-part mini British television series looks into the murder of a Muslim pizza delivery guy and find out a larger conspiracy at play behind this. Piers Wenger, the BBC’s head of drama, described the series as “a contemporary and thought-provoking state-of-the-nation thriller that pushes the boundaries of what audiences expect. The murder takes place without any seeming reason and logic. And the show is the perfect presentation of how easily the town goes on without noticing the death and even the pizza delivery restaurant keeps functioning without much contemplation and how everything becomes lost in the roar of a city like London.

This British sci-fi anthology series is your chance to choose the good episodes that you can gulp in easily and weed out the bad ones - ( trust us, when we say this, some of the episodes are really hard to comprehend ). You can't do this with most shows but with stand-alone Black Mirror shows, it is possible. Humans have evolved faster than ever after the scientific revolution and these changes are happening before we can even process them. Black Mirror acquired its name from how your laptop and phone screens look when the devices are switched off. And it is a show that shows us the reality of how deep in shit we are. It is contemporary and unpredictable at the same time, and it is also downright disturbing. It can horrify the living daylights out of you. It seeks to decode the effects of digital technology on our lives and also, predicts it's inevitable futuristic consequences. If you are having a hard time letting go of your social media addiction, this is your time to watch it.
