Bollywood beauties have represented India on a global platform every year on Cannes film festival's iconic red carpet. While Deepika Padukone debuted with a bang at Cannes Film Festival 2017, there are other Bollywood divas who also slayed us with their fashion statements.
Not only were Sonam Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai magnificent and glamorous, but this star-studded affair also saw Nandita Das, Amy Jackson and Shruti Hassan making India proud.
Here's our list of the best-dressed Bollywood bombshells:
1. Deepika Padukone
Deepika wore a green single-shouldered Brandon Maxwell gown in her first appearance. Vogue International also gave her top marks for the dramatic eye makeup that went with the outfit. On the second day, she wore a sheer purple gown by Marchesa with hair left loose and wine lipstick that made her look glamorous.
2. Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai was seen wearing a beautiful floral tiered green gown by Yanina Couture in the morning before her grand red carpet Cinderella appearance. On the red carpet, Aishwarya Rai was seen channeling her inner Cinderella in a larger than life blue gown with subtle makeup and dark lips.
Vanity Fair also picked the best-dressed so far at the Cannes Film Festival to be Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's blue princess ballgown by Michael Cinco.
3. Sonam Kapoor
Sonam Kapoor is a "QUEEN" at Cannes and she knows it. She dazzled in a pink Ellie Saab glittery gown in her first appearance on the red carpet. She glittered in gold when she made her second appearance. She is known for her bold and experimental fashion choices. We were awestruck by the choice of her gold gown which was also designed by Ellie Saab.
4. SHRUTI HASSAN
Shruti Hassan made her red carpet debut in this black Avaro Figlio gown. She went for minimalist accessories as she paired up her outfit with merely a ring. For the press conference, she was spotted in Bibhu Mohapatra Silk velvet.
5. Amy Jackson
Amy Jackson was seen stepping up her style game at Cannes this year. Shades of white seem to be the colour palette of choice for the 'Singh Is Bling' actor. She was one of the Indian divas who was turning heads internationally along with Aishwarya Rai and Sonam Kapoor. She wore a thigh-high slit dress to Eva Longoria’s Global Gift Gala in Cannes. The white gown was from Versace. The gold danglers and red lipstick just added an edge to her look.
6. Nandita Das
Nandita Das was a vision in a gold zari sari from Anavila Collections while presenting her upcoming film Manto on the second day of the festival. This dusky beauty was impeccably dressed with beautiful kohl-lined eyes. She was a shining star despite being away from the media lights and paparazzi.
