It's been 15 years to this movie, and we can surely say that this mind-boggling movie changes the way we think, see, perceive, and feel everything around us. This movie is about a dystopian future where all human beings perceive their reality in a simulation called 'the matrix'. This movie has made us question our existence over and over again. It's an imagined version of everything's that's happening today. We are so scared of artificial intelligence controlling us no sooner than a decade. The Matrix was imagined reality because in the movie, Thomas Anderson is a young and dissatisfied computer programmer realizes that there is something wrong with the world and concludes that we are not living in our own reality but in an illusion: a computer simulation designed to keep humanity passive and captive under the control of a race of sentient machines.

8. Twelve Years A Slave
Director: Steve McQueen
Starcasts: Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Kenneth Williams, Michael Fassbender
You should be watching this: is what comes to my head when we think of Twelve Years A Slave. It is a VERY powerful film based on an 1853 novel written by Solomon Northup, in which he chronicles his experiences as a slave in Bayou Boeuf, Louisiana. He lived in Saratoga, New York all his early adult life with his wife and children only aware of the plight the slaves went through but never had a first-hand experience of the misery of the slaves only until he was himself sold as a slave where he worked for 12 years in Louisiana. He wrote this book as an account of his bad experiences and how he wants to use this as a rebellion against slavery. This movie removes the curtain from our eyes and makes him empathize with these slaves who suffered at the hands of white people who were cruel beyond belief.

9. The Wolf of Wall Street
Director: Martin Scorsese

Brilliant is an understatement. This wild movie is based on the autobiography of Jordan Belfort, a stockbroker who made a fortune by selling shady penny stocks and then spent the resulting money on drugs, sex, and other self-indulgences—in the nineties before he was arrested for his frauds in an exuberant and crazy way. Anyone who needs to be explained stock market frauds and how to run away from personal responsibility, Wolf of Wall Street is the way to go. Leonardo Dicaprio does complete justice to his character where he plays Jordan Belfort. When you watch the movie, you wouldn't want the movie to be any shorter than the 3-hour runtime. It is so spellbinding and gasping.
