There's only one other day in every girl's life, when she encounters the kind of ecstatic excitement her wedding day would bring along, her BFF's wedding day. I would know, my best friend got married in December last year. Watching the girl you grew up with, the girl who knows you better than you know yourself, the girl who snickered at the mention of marriage not too long ago, become the blushing bride she solemnly swore she'll never be, is an experience of a lifetime!

And trying to come up with the perfect outfits for each of those days, a tremendously nerve-wracking ordeal. You obviously don't want to be under-dressed at your own best friend's wedding, but being more OTT than the bride, isn't an option either. Also, her parents and your parents, and an entire judgy party of extended family will be there, so you also have to be slightly sanksaari. So many variables to consider, so many things to do, and very little prep time, trust me, there will be a point when you'll find yourself overly overwhelmed.

Wait, deep breath in, deep breath out. Now, we don't mean to stress you out, we just want to emphasize that you might need a little additional aid. So to help you finalise a dream-like outfit for your BFF's wedding, here's a lookbook with plenty of wedding outfit ideas!

1. Spaghetti Strap Lehenga Top With Drop Beading + Wide Leg pants + Tulle Bolero

We love this wedding outfit idea because of how simple yet dreamy it is. Also, if the idea of running around in a heavy lehenga sounds painful, a pair of wide-leg skirt-like pants is a great wedding fashion solution! The drop beading detail makes the intricately embroidered top even more alluring, and the tulle bolero is just the finishing touch you need. A sleek updo, heavy eyes, and some statement earrings will seal the deal perfectly.

2. Peplum Choli + Palazzos

We love how classy this wedding ensemble is. A well-fitted peplum choli is a very flattering option, and a pair of flowy palazzos is the ideal accompaniment to this elegant top. The colour combination should be subtle and gorgeous, with or wothout heavy embroidery work. Go for a dewy face and bold red lips.

3. Solid Ruffle Saree + Embellished Blouse

Give the tried and tested wedding outfit of a beautiful saree a contemporary twist, by opting for one featuring romantic ruffles. We love this elegant black ruffled saree, with minimal details, paired with a glamorous black/multicolour embellished blouse. You can play around with the blouse design, like going for a mock neck half-sleeve shimmer piece. Simple dangling diamonds on the ears, and a sleek, straight mane will complement this look beautifully.

4. Pink Front Slit Anarkali + White Heavy Palazzo

I think this look is a testament to the fact that you can be both simple and gorgeous with your choice of wedding outfit! The intricately embroidered baby pink Anarkali Kurti is immensely charming, and upon getting paired with the beautiful Chikankari white palazzo pants, this wedding look becomes absolutely beguiling. Don a pair of statement gold earrings, and pull your hair up in a messy updo, letting some loose tendrils frame your face.

5. Asymmetrical Embellished Kurti + Silk Cigarette Pants

Asymmetrical details in ethnic wear have got to be the latest IT trend, and this navy blue and white look more than substantiates why. We love the flowy, Kaftan-like silhouette of the kurti, with the prints and embellishments adding a great dose of flair. This coupled with the asymmetrical high-low hemline makes it a total stunner. The gorgeous Kurti is paired with a solid white pair of cigarette pants featuring an embroidered mesh detail. A pair of pumps, gold drop earrings and loose waves will complete the look.

In this wedding look, we see a green two-piece comprising of a tiered sharara and a strappy cropped blouse.
