Palazzo pants are essentially wide legged, flowy pants that were extremely popular in the 60s and 70s, and have made an extreme comeback. The best part about these pants are that they can be styled in a number of ways – be it with long kurtas or even tank tops! Utsa by Westside has a lovely collection of palazzos – printed as well as plain, the street shops in M block market, Greater Kailash 1 offers an array of such pants, ranging from cigarette pants to flared palazzos (which do not burn a hole in your pocket).
Long Kurtas
Team up your palazzo pants with a long kurta, to go for an Indian look. My favorite way to style these pants is to wear a printed pair of palazzos with a plain kurta, which preferably has long slits on the sides. Wear a pair of long dangler earrings or jhumkas to complete the look!
Slogan Tees
The most unconventional way of wearing printed pants these days is to pair it up with a graphic tshirt. This look is comfortable yet stylish and is perfect to wear for a long day at college or even a brunch with your girls.
Anarkali Look
Do away with the churidaars and slim fitted pants that you’d usually wear with your anarkalis and don a pair of wide legged pants. Not too many people dress their palazzos this way and maybe you could be the trend-setter at your Diwali party this year! The flowy floor length anarkali with a pair of matching palazzo pants is a perfect look.
A Tank Top
Another chic way of wearing palazzos is with a tank top, tucked inside and a belt to cinch in your waist. The focus area of this look is primarily at your waist and the palazzos help in adding length, thereby giving the impression of you being taller.
A Shirt
The easiest and most effortless way of styling palazzos is by wearing it with a shirt or a short kurti. Throw in a pair of your most comfortable wedges and a layered necklace and you’re all set to rock the look!
A Bralette or a Crop Top
A crop top or bralette with wide-legged pants is a kickass combination. For somebody who cannot carry off a crop top with jeans, can use the pallazos as a way to hide their bloated lower abdomen. It gives an illusion of a great torso and looks very classy. Pair these two up, carry a nice bag and you are good to attend practically any event.
