Chota Imambara

If you are the person who craves for soul-soothing architecture then Chota Imambara is the place to soothe the architect in you. The Chhota Imambara is one of the most attractive buildings in the city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh in India. This is one of the many places to visit in Lucknow to witness the beauty of architecture. The Imambara is beautifully adorned with decorations and chandeliers at the time of special festivals, especially Muharram. Chota Imambara Complex consists of Chota Imambara, Tomb of Princess Zinat Algiya, Husainabad Mosque, Satkhanda (watchtower) and Naubat Khana (ceremonial gateway). Hazratganj

There are plenty of monuments in Lucknow and Hazratganj is one of the iconic historical monuments. Every woman is a fan of chikan work and Hazratganj is the hub of Chikan work and other handicrafts and handmade objects! The Dilkusha Kothi is the remains of an 18th-century English style house. It is also a readers paradise as every reader visiting or staying at Lucknow has to visit the Ram Advani Booksellers in Hazratganj as it is a famous literary landmark in Lucknow where you will find all kinds of books. Chowk

Chowk is the shopping hub of Lucknow! Chowk is one of the oldest markets in the state of Uttar Pradesh with around 5000 shops in it. The Chowk is not only the shopping hub but is also the historical heritage of Lucknow. This market is a center but it still retains a blend of Nawabi glamour which makes it one of the tourist places in Lucknow. The market is very famous for chikan clothes and ornaments. Apart from chikankari, it is also famous for the handicrafts items available in this market which makes it quite popular. So, head to this shop for the ultimate shopping experience! Do keep in mind that chowk is open on all days except Thursday.

Lucknow Zoological Garden

If you have gained all the historical knowledge by visiting the monuments of Lucknow and shopping at chowk then now head to the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Prani Udyan, Lucknow which is also known as Lucknow Zoo was established in the year 1921 to commemorate the visit of His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales to Lucknow. It has sheltered around 1000 animals of more than 100 species. The zoo also houses black bucks, swamp deer, barking deer, Asiatic elephants, giraffes, common otters, hill mynahs, giant squirrels, and others. Fauna inhabiting the zoo also includes great pied hornbills, golden pheasants, and silver pheasant. In the zoo, swamp deer, black bucks, hog deer and barking deer, white tigers, Indian wolves, and several pheasants breed successfully. This is one of the famous tourist places in Lucknow!

Visit the Ambedkar Park

The Ambedkar Memorial Park is a public park and memorial which is built across 107 acres in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. The park was formally known as Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Prateek Sthal. The memorial was constructed and opened to the public in the year 2008. The memorial is the brainchild of Mayawati, this park is one of the main tourist places in Lucknow!
