If the lack of sweet-sweet climax of your daily dining experience is digging a black hole in your already dull life, you're not alone! Sweet-tooth or not, a generous portion of delicious dessert is hard to deny. But what happens when your sweet cravings take over in the middle of the night? You can blame it on a random post all you want but the truth is your body needs it. There's no fighting the devil.

Since the entire lockdown was all about easy-to-make, no-bake desserts, I'd like to dedicate this blog to our desi Indian desserts. So, chefs, put on your aprons and let's get to work!

1. Sandesh

All the way from Kunal Kapur's kitchen, this sweet dish is the fairy white princess of Indian desserts. One bite and you are on the highway to heaven. The recipe is as quick as the speed at which you are going to devour this sweetmeat and the taste will linger for a while. Bengalis love it and non-Bengalis can't get over it. Learning and recreate this recipe at home will be unforgettable.

2. Besan Ladoo

If you are the kind of sweet-toothed human who takes their Meetha very seriously, your inevitable craving for a heartfelt Besan Ka Ladoo is totally justified. With a pinch of precision and a handful of love, you can finally have the luxury of this Indian dessert even at home. Garnish the result with chopped dry fruits and serve with a smile. Feel free to add spices like cardamom, cinnamon to make the recipe a bit more healthy.

3. Malpua

Why knock on someone else's door when you have everything at home? Since Malpua's are basically a more scrumptious version of pancakes found in every household of India, reaching out for desserts from far-away lands is a pointless cause. The recipe is not that difficult to follow and the final outcome will make you happy.

4. Gulab Jamun

This desi delicacy might be the only reason why people in India go to weddings. I know I do. Gulab Jamun has been a sweet staple of every Indian event for generations now and you wouldn't believe how easy it is to whip up at home. No, seriously! The best part... it's chef Ranveer Brar's recipe, so have a go at it and enjoy.
