Learn From Gurugram: A Mobile Grocery Bus Delivering Food Items At Your Doorsteps

Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) wore their thinking hats recently and an innovative move to swiftly survive the 21-day lockdown fell right in front of them.

 

A Mobile Grocery Bus service is being operated across G-town loaded with essential grocery items and medicines.

While paying occasional visits to the nearest grocery store can be a risky gamble and waiting for online delivery services isn't fun anymore, grocery on the wheels isn't such a bad idea.

 

 

What's Mobile Grocery Bus?

A government-approved bus service dedicated to delivering essential grocery items such as fruits, vegetables, packed food like Maggi noodles, biscuits, bread and so on is all the initiative we need. For now, the services are limited to Gurugram only but I see a loud and clear cue for the cities to work out something of the sort as soon as possible. 

 

And the best part; all the items on this bus are fairly cheaper than the prices you were originally paying at the grocery stores.

How Does This Work?

Well, a door to door service cannot work on telepathy hence Resident Welfare Association (RWA) has taken it upon themselves to deliver the right essential to the right residence.

 

All you have to do is make a list of all the items you need (Try to be sensitive and don't hoard) along with the quantity and numbers and email the same to rwa.covid@mcg.gov.in
