We all know the real feel of Diwali comes when you see a lit-up sky, but do the sky needs to be lit up only by bursting crackers? Don't we have a better alternative which won't pollute the environment and along with that, is also pocket-friendly. We say there is, this Diwali, skip the loud and polluting Patakhas but lit-up the sky with the beautiful sky lanterns and take a pledge that this year or the ones ahead, you would make Diwali more beautiful and not a cause to harm our environment.

2. Diwali Eve With Friends Is So Much Fun
Diwali is all about enjoying with your friends, and it doesn't necessarily have to be about bursting crackers. Instead, you can organize a card game night, and who knows, maybe you can even make some extra cash while having so much more fun this Diwali. If you lack the skills of playing card games, then maybe a game of monopoly with real money is more your thing. Or, you can also try to learn a new card game instead of resorting to the classic bluff or flash. A session of Dumb-Charades is sure to set the pace for Diwali. Choosing Karaoke or Antakshri is always better noise than adding pollution to the world around.

With Diwali just around the corner, you have ample reasons to push your creative boundaries with a Rangoli. Making a Rangoli is an important Diwali tradition. Or, you can always go about buying a drinking game, ah, now you're all ears eh! But yeah, why not, if you go about such things responsibly, then they make for incomprehensible fun during festive get-togethers. Diwali can be a great reason to clean the house for a change, yeah, you can do that as well. Contrary to popular beliefs, you can actually go ahead cleaning the space around you. To all the bachelor's who haven't even seen a broom in a while, clear the shelf of all the unnecessary pile-up, throw away the wine bottles you thought would look cool, but are lying beneath your bed. Instead of spending money on crackers, buying some gifts or make arrangements to donate your old clothes to the needy ones this Diwali? What you call trash, can light up someone else's Diwali this year. You can also spend your day at an old age home and garner all the blessings from the elderly and you'll know the real meaning of satisfaction and love. Encourage your friends to join you too, it's a noble thing and so you don't have to beg but invite.

10. Help The Poor Pups
Diwali can be a stressful time for your pets, you'd know that if you have a furball at home. But what about the stray ones out there, with loud noise and flickering lights, they surely don't get the festivities anyhow. So this year, let's do one thing, let's celebrate Diwali in a little responsible manner. If not refraining from crackers, let's not do such things near the poor animals on the road. If there are any in the proximity, let's spread the word to move our celebrations to somewhere else. They belong to this world as much as we do, so make sure that you do not burn crackers this Diwali and if you can't stop anyone from doing so, just ask them to do it somewhere else.
